Imagine

What if you woke up tomorrow without that tightness in your chest before you even opened your eyes?

Not because you finally "fixed everything".

Not because your calendar got lighter.

Not because you managed to stay in control one more time.

Just because your body finally understood it's allowed to lower its guard.

Because instead of continuing to adapt, something inside you did what almost never happens:

it stopped treating you like a threat to be managed.

And what if, instead of one more technique, you had:

  • nights where your mind actually slows down
  • a body that doesn't wake up in emergency mode
  • room to feel something without attacking yourself afterwards
  • rest that doesn't come with guilt attached

This is what happens when anxiety stops being fought, and starts being listened to.

The Patterns

I keep seeing brilliant women fall into one of two patterns

And honestly, I've been in both.

Pattern #1

You think it's just a matter of organising your routine better.

You go to bed earlier. You try the gym. You download the meditation app.

You block off the weekend to "rest", and spend the whole thing feeling in debt to yourself.

Sometimes it works for three days. Then everything comes back. And then comes the cruellest conclusion of all: "so the problem must be me".

The mistake isn't a lack of discipline. It's believing rest is a scheduling problem.

It isn't. Rest is internal permission. And nobody can put that in a calendar.

Pattern #2

You realised it runs deeper… and then drowned in content.

"Where do I even start?"

Courses you bought and never opened. Half-finished books. Hundreds of saved reels.

Neat little self-care lines that only raise the bar. "Love yourself first." "Set boundaries." Great. How?

So you give up and go back to functioning. Because functioning, at least, is something you're very good at.

The Insight

Your anxiety is not a flaw.
It's a language.

Here's the part almost nobody tells you (and it took me far too long to get).

It didn't show up to sabotage you. It showed up to protect you from something that, once upon a time, genuinely wasn't safe.

The problem is that nobody ever told your body the danger had passed. So it keeps working. Twenty-four hours a day.

When you treat anxiety as the enemy, you go to war with the one part of you that never abandoned you.

It slows you down

It gives back context

It answers what your body already knew

That's why calm never comes from more control. It comes from finally understanding.

The Method

The R.E.S.T. Workshop is exactly how I do this.

Not theory. Not toxic positivity. Not another list of habits you won't keep.

It's the therapeutic process I use to take a woman from chronic alert to sustained calm, at her own pace, with nothing to perform.

Inside the Workshop

Here's what you get inside

One recorded main session, split into 4 blocks: the 4 pillars of the R.E.S.T. Method, with guided reflective exercises.

Pillar 1: Recognise

Recognise The Silent Collapse

Here you identify the survival mechanisms keeping you in a state of alert and exhaustion. You'll see the suffering that was hiding behind your productivity and understand that the problem was never a lack of strength. It was too much adapting.

Practical exercise: emotional mapping: “Where do I harm myself just to keep functioning?”

Pillar 2: Engage

Engage (to listen) To The Anxious Body As Language

Anxiety stops being a symptom to eliminate and becomes symbolic communication from your body and psyche. You learn to tell the difference between a symptom and a defect, and to hear your own signals without self-judgement.

Practical exercise: body-listening script: “What is my anxiety trying to say?”

Pillar 3: Sustain

Sustain Your Inner Truth Without Self-Attack

You build a real base of emotional containment: an internal place able to hold vulnerability and fluctuation without turning it into self-criticism. This is where calm stops depending on having a good day.

Practical exercise: an inner containment practice for moments of fluctuation

Pillar 4: Transform

Transform Functioning Into Presence

The final block is about sustaining it over time. Leaving compulsive functioning behind and stepping into real emotional presence without needing control, performance or exhaustion to feel like enough.

Practical exercise: designing your new relationship with rest, boundaries and permission

Is this for you?

This workshop is especially powerful if:

  • on the outside you handle everything, and on the inside you're at your limit
  • you sleep badly, wake up tired, and carry the tension in your body
  • resting makes you feel guilty, and stopping makes you feel afraid
  • you've tried to control your anxiety and now you want to understand it
  • you don't want a formula, you want real listening and real depth

About

Hiiii, I'm Paula!

Paula Miles · Psychotherapist

I'm a psychotherapist. And before that, I was exactly where you are right now.

I spent decades functioning. Thinking, planning, controlling, anticipating. My mind is fast, deep, associative, hyperfocused, and without awareness, without care and without rest, that strength turned into overload.

My mind wouldn't let my body rest because, deep down, resting had never been safe. Lowering my guard, in my story, had always been dangerous.

And when my mind couldn't hold it all anymore… my body started to speak.

The pain that had no space to exist became tension. Constant vigilance became exhaustion. Excess became chronic pain. Today I live with autism, fibromyalgia, and a body that tells the story of someone who spent years on alert.

And today I'm learning something new every day: rest isn't weakness. It's repair. My mind was never defective. It was overloaded. It did exactly what it needed to do to keep me alive.

I became a psychotherapist because I didn't want to keep merely functioning. I wanted to understand. And I wanted to help other women not have to destroy themselves in order to find themselves.

I lived the pain I now help to heal.

You don't have to collapse to earn permission to rest.

You can keep holding it all together for another year. Or you can start teaching your body, today, that it no longer has to be at war.

Yes, I want the crossing
